CGR Community Giveback Initiative

The CGR Back-to-School Bash began in 2020 as a part of our CGR Youth Development Initiative in response to the negative economic impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the Greater Nashville community. It is now an annual event during which we solicit community sponsors and volunteers to fill thousands of backpacks with school supplies. Beyond school supplies, we also distribute diapers, baby wipes, dental and personal hygiene products, socks, and cleaning supplies.

From 2020 to current, CGR has distributed over 15,000 backpacks to the Greater Nashville community with the help of our sponsors and community partners.

What an amazing way to kick off the 2026–27 school year! Our 7th Annual Back-to-School Bash brought our community together to provide students with backpacks filled with essential school and art supplies while creating a fun, welcoming experience for youth and families.

More than 2,000 backpacks were prepared and distributed, helping us support students, schools, and community partners across Nashville.

This impact would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, community partners, volunteers, donors, and supporters. Thank you for investing in our youth and helping ensure students entered the new school year prepared, encouraged, and ready to succeed.
